Neighbourhood and Community Programmes
A key part of our work with local authorities is to take a proactive approach to listening to and understanding local needs, particularly in cases where local concerns have been identified. Typically this could be around a proposed bring bank site but could equally be about a kerbside scheme or a recycling facility.
Once we have understood the local needs and issues, we will work closely with the local authority and community leaders to develop and support a programme to promote recycling and drive engagement with the proposed scheme. We can then monitor the scheme to assess on-going satisfaction levels.
We typically use a range of survey and promotional tools to achieve this objective, including:
- Participation surveys
- Satisfaction surveys
- Local fairs and markets
- Local talks and exhibitions
- Neighbourhood meetings
- Visits to recycling facilities
- Local press and media
