How we recycle paper and card
The mixed paper and cardboard material collected from our kerbside recycling collection points and our bring bank operations is sent to one of our sorting and separation facilities. Palm Recycling have 13 operational bases situated across the UK.
The facilities use a combined manual and mechanical processes, cardboard material is separated from paper material and baled for despatch to our end user partners, while paper is further sorted and checked before being sent for reprocessing to the Palm Paper mill.
Whichever one of our centres takes delivery of mixed paper and the cardboard material, exactly the same processes are followed so that all the material we send for recycling is of a guaranteed quality that meets the high standards of Palm Paper, our principle paper material buyer.
